The compensation for this role ranges from $6,180 to $7,384.55 monthly, equating to an annual salary of $74,160 to $88,614.49, based on qualifications.
Role Summary
This position is integral to the KPBS Arts team, focusing on the creation of a new local Arts podcast. The specific concept and direction will be determined collaboratively by the incoming Arts team.
Key Responsibilities
The Arts Podcast Producer will:
- Design and produce a new KPBS Arts podcast in collaboration with the Arts and programming teams.
- Oversee all aspects of podcast production, including concept development, guest booking, topic coordination, and workflow management.
- Ensure high-quality audio recordings and editing, utilizing advanced audio production techniques.
- Implement strategies to enhance digital and podcast platforms.
- Engage with content subjects to facilitate compelling storytelling.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to inform content strategies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in podcast production.
- Proficiency in multi-track editing software and production equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Additional Information
Applicants must reside in California or be willing to relocate. This position is part of the SAG-AFTRA bargaining unit.
