About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President Electrical Engineer to join our team at kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing complex power and other building systems, including generator plants, medium voltage distribution, uninterruptible power systems, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and lead projects, including electrical system concepts, technical solutions, and project management activities.
  • Collaborate with internal project discipline team members, equipment vendors, and manufacturers to ensure high-quality technical and professional deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, and contribute to the development of project specifications, construction administration, and client interactions.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Participate in local professional organizations, attend meetings and lectures, and contribute to conference programs, including panels, lectures, poster sessions, papers, and presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis.
  • 12+ years of experience in designing electrical systems for high-performing, commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings.
  • Experience mentoring and training others in the field, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact well with others, develop and contribute to high-quality technical and professional deliverables, and participate in conference programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and codes, with attention to detail and highly organized.
