As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising or assisting in supervising employees, ensuring the smooth operation of production activities, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Supervise daily production activities and recommend discipline and recognition as necessary
* Review work performance, absenteeism, and safe work habits of supervised personnel
* Interpret, clarify, and enforce rules, regulations, and policies
* Maintain morale, ensure discipline is equitably applied, and promote positive personnel relations
* Maintain company safety and housekeeping programs
* Review present equipment and production procedures and make recommendations for improvement
* Monitor operations and processes to ensure employees are using proper methods and performing at an acceptable level
* Instruct new employees on how to operate and perform tasks
* Advise and assist employees on methods to help them attain established work standards
* Confer with other departments on matters affecting the operation of the area
* Order supplies and ensure employees have proper tooling, equipment, materials, and paperwork to perform the job
* Perform preventive maintenance as required and prepare work orders and issue work orders for repairs as needed
* Compile and maintain department records as required
* Interview and hire new temporary workers and perform new hire orientation
* Monitor and perform shipping and receiving activities
* Monitor and perform maintenance activities

**Requirements:**

* Holder of a High School Diploma with a minimum of five (5) years of expertise in diverse manufacturing operations
* Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing supervision, encompassing plant floor operations and personnel management
* Union experience preferred but not mandatory

**Competencies:**

* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire employees
* Effective communicator with team, stakeholders, and decision makers
* Proactive problem solver
* Possesses knowledge of OSHA and its rules and regulations
* Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance
* Ability to plan, assign, and utilize resources to meet company objectives
* Possesses a good understanding of manufacturing operations and related processes
* Ability to respond to changes quickly, calmly, and efficiently

**Working Conditions:**

* Combination - industrial plant floor, union environment, and office
* Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 5:30 am - 3:00 pm
* Week/Weekend overtime as necessary
