Position Overview

South College Nashville Campus is seeking a qualified individual for the role of adjunct clinical instructor to oversee clinical and laboratory instruction within the LPN program. This position is designed for evenings and weekends, with laboratory sessions occurring during the week and clinical experiences primarily scheduled on weekends.

Clinical Settings: The instructor will engage with various clinical environments, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, mental health institutions, and additional diverse locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold high professional standards in clinical teaching.
  • Collaborate effectively with course faculty and maintain close communication with the clinical coordinator.
  • Encourage critical thinking and effective learning during clinical sessions while nurturing a supportive educational atmosphere.
  • Develop and sustain positive relationships with clinical partners.
  • Assess student performance through evaluations and grading of care plans, providing constructive feedback as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a BSN degree in Nursing is required.
  • An unrestricted nursing license to practice in Tennessee is mandatory.
