Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Assistant to join our Honors College team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Honors College Office, manage marketing and communications efforts, and assist with event preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Honors College Office, including reception duties and general office work
  • Develop and implement marketing and advertising strategies to promote Honors College events and programs
  • Assist with event preparation, including setup, coordination, and execution
  • Support the Associate Director with Honors advising for incoming, current, and transfer students
  • Perform other general office duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Public Relations)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and their use in marketing and communications
  • Ability to create engaging content for social media and other marketing channels
