About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Service Expert to join our team at REI Recreation Equipment, Inc. as a Sr. Store Sales Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales and Revenue Growth: Engage in sales and service training to drive sales and revenue growth, and develop a deep understanding of our products and services.
  • Product Knowledge and Merchandising: Prepare store displays, coordinate stocking processes, and maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation: Adjust visual presentations to reflect inventory levels, new products, and promotions, and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory accuracy, price accuracy, and product stock levels to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with Department Managers to achieve sales goals and daily expectations, and maintain open and effective communication with colleagues and customers.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Retail Sales and Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail sales and customer service, preferably in an outdoor recreation or sporting goods environment.
  • Availability and Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
