Role Summary:

As a Radiological Technologist at UNC Health Care, you will play a vital role in preparing and performing radiological imaging procedures to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and perform radiological imaging procedures, including X-ray imaging, under close supervision.
  • Read and comprehend imaging orders, engaging with physicians when orders are unclear, complex, or warrant deeper review.
  • Interview patients to understand risk factors that may warrant a more in-depth examination for safety.
  • Guide patients through their examination, applying subject matter expertise and cultural competency to explain the exam and set expectations.
  • Upload imaging results into Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and record information into Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system.

Qualifications:

  • Must be attending an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Environment:

This role is part of the Urgent Care team at UNC Health Care, supporting fast-paced, multi-disciplinary care for patients across a wide range of acuity.
