Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wellness Nurse to join our Resident Care Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Train Nursing Staff: Supervise and train nursing assistants to provide high-quality care and support to residents.
  • Medication Management: Assist with medication administration, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure resident safety and compliance.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to address concerns, coordinate care, and promote overall well-being.
  • Clinical Assessments and Service Plans: Participate in clinical assessments and service planning to ensure residents receive tailored care and support.
  • Staff Performance and Development: Support the Resident Services Director in managing staff performance, conducting training sessions, and promoting professional growth and development.
  • Other Responsibilities: Participate in scheduled in-service programs, attend meetings, and assist with scheduling and staffing as needed.

Requirements:

  • Licensure and Certification: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the appropriate state(s). Basic first aid and CPR certification also required.
  • Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience, preferably in assisted living or long-term care settings.
  • Skills and Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong attention to detail, and commitment to providing exceptional care and services.
