Orthopedic and Neurological Care Specialist

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical / Ortho & Neuro unit at Saint Mary's Hospital. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions, with a focus on neurological and orthopedic care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct continuous assessments of patients' conditions, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed.
- Provide wound care and manage surgical incisions to promote optimal healing.
- Educate patients and families about their conditions and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and close monitoring of patients' neurological statuses, cognitive functions, motor skills, and sensory responses.
- Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute Inpatient setting.
- Current BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Part-time position with 24 hours per week, Night Shift.
- Rotating weekends and holidays required for all shifts.
