Position Details:

Location: Exeter, NH

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift Hours: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Employment Type: Full-time, Benefit Eligible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct essential tasks in the patient care process, including embedding and preparing slides for routine H & E and specialized staining procedures.
  • Perform and document regular preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to processing, embedding, cutting, and staining.
  • Operate in a dynamic laboratory setting with biological and chemical safety considerations.
  • Promote safety, compliance, and quality assurance throughout laboratory operations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a CAHEA/NAACLS accredited Histotechnology program and HT (ASCP) certification.
  • A minimum of one year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
  • Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or an equivalent body.
  • Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to utilize various laboratory equipment, including computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, and pipettes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in a high-volume laboratory, with documented expertise in special staining and immunohistochemistry.
