Job Overview

Bearon Manufacturing is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate in a controlled manufacturing environment. This position involves working on 3rd shift with an additional shift premium. As a proficient CNC Machinist with at least 5 years of experience, you will be essential in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery.

Your role will include executing advanced setup tasks, adjusting, programming, and operating numerically controlled machine tools to carry out a series of intricate machining operations on a variety of materials. You may also be responsible for setting up machines for other operators and providing instruction as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and operate CNC machinery to produce components that meet customer specifications.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure parts conform to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines while adhering to safety standards.
  • Document and report production metrics and machine performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements in machining processes and techniques.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; trade school education in mechanics, manufacturing, or related fields is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operating CNC machines is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to develop programming skills.
  • Positive attitude and reliable attendance record.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and interpreting blueprints.
  • Skilled in using measuring instruments and applying shop mathematics.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds during a shift.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
  • Experience in the metal manufacturing sector is advantageous.
