Job Summary

The Early Head Start Teacher Assistant will assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities, child screenings, and program services.


Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and operations.
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that meet the needs of children.
  • A valid Child Development Associate (CDA) in Infant/Toddler OR the New Mexico Early Childhood Certification, OR an Associates of Arts (AA) Degree in Early Childhood.
  • One to two years' experience working with children birth though 5 years of age.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
