The Position
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled licensed Project Engineer to join our Tampa Bay operations in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will undertake various inspections, testing, and the creation of plans, specifications, and reports for our clients. This technical role is essential in supporting architectural and engineering projects.

  • Coordinate and oversee internal project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Monitor schedules and ensure compliance with project plans and timelines, both internally and with external partners.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, documenting conditions, performing field tests, and creating sketches to track work progress and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain accurate field measurements and calculations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare professional correspondence with clients and contractors, ensuring clear communication throughout the project.
  • Interpret investigation reports and bid documents accurately to implement project requirements.
  • Communicate project status and proactively address any issues, escalating unresolved matters to supervisors as necessary.
  • Organize and maintain project records, files, and drawings for easy access and future reference.
  • Gather post-project feedback to identify improvement areas and communicate insights to supervisors.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional networks.
  • Engage in networking and represent the company at various events and seminars.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to contribute to team success.

Technical Requirements

  • Utilize technical expertise to support architectural and engineering design processes.
  • Conduct design, calculations, and drafting.
  • Review technical data prepared by third parties.
  • Perform inspections and data collection to identify root causes of issues.
  • Conduct a variety of tests, including material testing and structural analysis.
  • Supervise testing activities to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing technical specifications and construction documents.
  • Generate detailed field reports from site visits and inspections.
  • Create expert reports with analysis and recommendations based on findings.

Client Relations

  • Exhibit effective communication skills to relay observations and report content to stakeholders.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the team to understand project scope, budget, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations to team members on various projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in the architectural or engineering consulting field.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license is required.
  • OSHA-10 Certification is preferred.
  • A valid U.S. Driver's License is required for travel to client sites.

Skills
