As a leader in our organization, the Hannaford To Go Team Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the department operates efficiently to fulfill customer needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Hannaford To Go Team Leader's daily responsibilities include:


  • Overseeing department operations in line with established practices.
  • Exemplifying exceptional customer service and fostering a positive shopping experience.
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food handling are consistently met.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with certifications.
  • Utilizing company resources for financial reporting, scheduling, and productivity tracking.
  • Creating effective work schedules that balance customer service and team needs.
  • Delegating tasks and following up to ensure departmental efficiency.
  • Providing on-the-spot training and support for team members.
  • Communicating performance feedback to management.
  • Leading training initiatives to develop team skills.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication within the department and with store leadership.
  • Adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Upholding company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Promptly managing return-to-stock items, especially perishables.
  • Supporting safety standards and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Keeping work areas organized and free of hazards.
  • Being knowledgeable about various produce types and their characteristics.
  • Documenting price discrepancies and issues with delivery partners.
  • Securing company assets and equipment when unattended.
  • Completing other assigned tasks as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Must meet age requirements for specific job functions.
  • Willingness to learn diverse tasks and technical aspects of the role.
  • Ability to fulfill technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS


We prioritize the well-being of our associates and want to clarify the physical demands of this position:


  • Performing repetitive motions while standing or walking for most of the shift.
  • Lifting products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Pushing or pulling loads of up to 75 pounds as needed.
  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions when required.
  • Managing multiple shopping carts and returning them to designated areas.
  • Handling a variety of substances related to cleaning and food products.
  • Possessing adequate vision to read displays and check identification.
