Michael Page is seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to play a pivotal role in building out new manufacturing programs for a leading global manufacturer of metal products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding engineering and a proven track record of establishing and maintaining certified welding programs.

Responsibilities will include leading the creation and implementation of a welding program in accordance with industry standards, collaborating with quality teams on necessary enhancements for certification, and providing on-site assistance to welders and engineering teams during welding and additive processes.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing manufacturing procedures for welding and additive manufacturing, reviewing process and welder qualification samples, and educating staff on welding concepts and practices.

In addition, the Welding Engineer will engage in research and development initiatives for process improvement and product innovation, working with cross-functional teams to explore new markets.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Weld Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science with a focus on welding processes, and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Weld Engineer or in applicable additive manufacturing research.

The ideal candidate will have intermediate understanding of physical metallurgy principles related to welding, metalworking, and heat treatment, as well as technical expertise in welding engineering, physical metallurgy, heat treatment principles, mechanical testing, microstructural interpretation, failure analysis, NDE, and industry/customer specifications.
