Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Presbyterian Espanola Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Responsibilities
  • Certification and Licensure
    • Active scrub tech certification is required.
    • BLS certification is also required and must be completed through a reputable organization such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
  • Job Requirements
    • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a large operating room setting.
    • Orthopedic, ENT, and/or vascular experience is a plus.
    • Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
    • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
  • Schedule and On-Call
    • This is an 8-hour varied shift position with a start time of 0630, which may fluctuate to meet department staffing needs.
    • On-call for weekends and holidays as needed.
    • Travelers are first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of their permanent assigned location.
    • Traveling pairs are not guaranteed the same schedules or shifts.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from their last day worked to be considered for a travel position.
    • State tax is passed through to the agency and will be reflected on the invoice.
    • The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico.
    • Ensure an accurate SS# and DOB is entered, as incorrect information may cause issues with onboarding.
