Key Responsibilities
  • Design Development: Develop project plans with sales and project management teams based on programming requirements and overall scope.
  • Communication: Clearly and concisely communicate design intent and issues with the project team.
  • Site Verification: Visit project sites for site verification and field measuring of project spaces with project managers and other team members.
  • Design Coordination: Receive and manage CAD files from external sources and properly file projects for future reference.
  • Interior Spatial Design: Develop interior spatial designs and document coordination from schematic design through construction documents, including:
    • Bill of Materials
    • Finish Schedules
    • Layered Installation Drawings
    • Finish Selection
    • Quality Control
  • Design Integrity: Ensure the accuracy of order specifications and the integrity of design.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as an integral part of the project team with sales, project management, customer service, and installation teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Two-year degree in Interior Design or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal/customer service skills, ability to process computer data, and proficiency in office computer software use (Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCad).
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.
Working Conditions

General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable, with adequate lighting and temperature.
