Bilingual Oncology Nurse - Part-Time
Position Overview:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to designated patients.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hospital and nursing division.
- Develop and document personalized care plans that consider age-specific needs.
- Assist in conducting specialized tests and procedures, ensuring appropriate consent is secured.
- Engage in the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Administer medications accurately while documenting and communicating clinical observations.
- Comply with patient safety protocols and guidelines.
- Proactively enhance patient safety by identifying opportunities for improvement in existing policies and practices.
- Maintain a secure, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Promote ongoing professional development and growth.
- Support and uphold the core principles of the Patient-Centered Medical Home or Patient-Centered Specialty Practice.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Nationally recognized nursing graduate.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Current CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
- Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or as permitted by reciprocal agreement.
- National certification in specialty area preferred.
- PALS, TNCC, and/or ENPC certifications preferred.
- Ability to exert heavy physical effort, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and 25 to 50 pounds frequently.
- Exposure to hazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
This role encompasses care for patients across various age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
