The role of the Geriatric Nursing Assistant is to deliver routine nursing and personal care to residents, ensuring the highest standards of quality care are upheld. This position requires effective collaboration with team members to achieve care goals while fostering a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in resident reports at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Deliver personal and nursing care in line with the resident care plan.
  • Facilitate and lead activities for residents.
  • Monitor and address resident requests and needs respectfully.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Assist residents in preparing for various activities.
  • Ensure all care is provided with dignity and respect.
  • Perform basic nursing procedures as required.
  • Create a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Meet residents' food service needs promptly and compassionately.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligibility to enroll and complete such a program within 120 days of employment.
