We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician - Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Rio Tinto. As a key member of our Operations & Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for providing repair and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimum operating efficiency.

• Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
• Collaborate with UGOM supervisors and maintenance crews to plan and prioritize work, ensuring timely completion of tasks and effective communication.
• Interact with Shaft Project contractors to resolve issues and schedule work.
• Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and resources, including York centrifugal chillers, commercial units, and underground units.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in servicing or installation of air conditioning, ductless mini-split, heat pump systems, and packaged rooftop units.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams to understand system designs and identify potential issues.
• Current valid Driver's License and Universal HVAC Certification.
• MSHA training (surface and underground).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
