Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in a full-time, second-shift position. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our medical team to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ultrasound Procedures: Position patients, select technical factors, and operate equipment to obtain high-quality scans.
  • Patient Care: Deliver compassionate care, maintain patient confidentiality, and ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Prepare ultrasound rooms, maintain equipment, and ensure proper inventory of supplies.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient information, procedures, and results in our electronic health record system.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technologies, techniques, and best practices to provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Education: ARDMS Registry eligible; successful completion of registry within the first year of employment.
  • Certifications: CPR certification and ability to obtain other required certifications.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge, ability to make diagnostic judgments, and excellent communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
