Job Title: Speech/Language Pathologist

Fontana Unified School District is seeking a highly skilled Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Speech/Language Pathologist will provide individualized education programs to students, developing, implementing, and relating daily activities to the core curriculum. The successful candidate will assess and diagnose speech, language, and hearing disorders, coordinate therapy programs, and assist parents and teachers in understanding and implementing therapeutic goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and hearing disorders
  • Coordinate and establish individualized therapy programs
  • Assist parents and teachers in understanding and implementing therapeutic goals
  • Develop daily instructional plans, including Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Interact with parents, district, and county personnel, and public agencies
  • Assist students in age-appropriate activities and behaviors
  • Maintain accurate student records
  • Provide individualized instruction to students
  • Monitor student progress
  • Prepare various forms of correspondence, including parent notifications and administrative requests
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Speech, Language, Pathology, or Communication Science and Disorders
  • Valid California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services credential (or equivalency) authorizing service as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to see and read printed matter with or without vision aids
  • Ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels
  • Ability to carry out the functions of the above essential responsibilities
  • Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly
  • Ability to bend, reach, and walk
  • Ability to lift items up to 25 pounds in weight
  • Valid California Driver's License
