Advanced Heart Failure Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Join our dedicated IUHP Cardiology team as we seek a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our Advanced Heart Failure unit.
Position Overview:
- Part-time, Weekend Day shifts
- Friday (8am-12pm or 1-5pm), Saturday and Sunday (7am-5pm)
- Consists of 2 ten-hour inpatient shifts and 1 four-hour clinic day weekly
- No on-call responsibilities
- Focus on 90% inpatient care and 10% outpatient services
- Collaborate closely with a team of 3 physicians and 6 other advanced practice providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the initiation of guideline-directed medical therapies, manage inpatient advanced heart failure cases, and conduct outpatient follow-up consultations along with patient education for heart failure individuals.
Qualifications:
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
- A Master’s Degree is required
- Acceptable qualifications include ACNP, AGNP, ANP, FNP, or PA
- New graduates must possess ICU/PCU nursing experience or substantial ICU or Cardiology exposure during clinical rotations required
- Experience in Cardiology/Heart Failure is preferred
- Ideal candidates should demonstrate excellent critical thinking abilities, adeptness at multitasking in high-pressure environments, and confidence in their clinical competencies to operate at the top of their scope.
