Key Responsibilities- Product Quality Control: Monitor and inspect filling equipment to ensure product quality and conformity to meet customer standards and specifications.
- Weight Management: Maintain accurate weights of bottles throughout the run and provide corrective action when weights cannot be met.
- Visual Inspection: Inspect product for color, flavor, or texture, and visually inspect for defects and correct capping.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean equipment after use in the filling room and silo room.
- Reporting: Report unsafe conditions and food safety violations to management.
- Data Collection: Record data collection materials.
- Maintenance and Repair: Stop or reset machine when a malfunction occurs, clear machine jams, and report malfunction of machine and/or robot.
- Quality Assurance: Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements as trained.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform monthly/weekly preventative maintenance program.
- Ownership and Accountability: Demonstrate a high degree of ownership for product quality, understanding of production schedules, and work instructions.
- Workplace Safety: Report to workstation on time, wear proper work attire, and assist in setting up work area.
- Compliance: Perform duties according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Sanitization Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) that meet quality and safety standards pertaining to: Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Wisconsin Department of Agriculture (WDA), and customer requirements.
- Behavioral Expectations: Conduct behavior in compliance with Lifeway Employee Policy.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma required; or three to six months related experience; or equivalent.
- Skills: Demonstrate intellectual and interpersonal skills through leadership, organization, and self-efficacy.
- Communication: Ability to read and write comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present them to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills and understanding of algebra and geometry.
- Software Proficiency: Knowledge of Manufacturing Software, Inventory Software, and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 lbs; ability to be on your feet for the entirety of an 8-hour shift; ability to climb ladders and maneuver through equipment; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.
