Key Position Details
  • Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms
  • Casual position (FTE 0.0). Minimum of 2 shifts a month.
  • Piper Breast Center Coon Rapids hours are 7 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
  • No weekends & evenings
  • Seeking a preferred candidate with screening experience
  • Willing to train into diagnostic mammography
Job Description

As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform diagnostic radiological imaging in Mammography as directed by providers or radiologists. You will provide timely and quality service to patients, following Imaging Department policies to maintain a safe, efficient, and economical environment. You will interact with patients to welcome, explain, and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure.

Principle Responsibilities
  • Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
  • Identifies patient with two identifiers
  • Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure
  • Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs
  • Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required registered ARRT, current Mammography certification or willing to obtain in 30 days of hire and Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required registered in Mammography within 1 Year
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire
