As a Licensed Nurse, you play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care and service to our patients, their families, and colleagues. Within the healthcare team, you will take primary responsibility for coordinating nursing care and providing personalized attention to patients across all age groups. The role also requires the application of critical thinking and delegation skills to ensure high-quality service through a collaborative approach to patient care.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conducting age-appropriate admissions and ongoing assessments, which are documented and utilized to formulate a comprehensive care plan.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members, patients, and families to create, implement, and assess an interdisciplinary care plan tailored to the patient's age and needs, making adjustments as necessary based on patient condition.
- Evaluating, planning, and implementing patient care strategies to achieve optimal outcomes for individuals of all ages, in accordance with service area standards.
- Administering and documenting treatments and medications accurately for patients of all ages using automated systems, including electronic medical records.
Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program or an approved program eligible for licensure.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligibility for Virginia RN licensure. Certification in CPR, and as required, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
Additional Requirements: Proficiency in computer skills for electronic medical records (EPIC). Successful completion of orientation and competency evaluations is necessary to meet essential job functions.
