Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to lead our team in the Radiology-Orthopedics department at Henry Ford Hospital. As a Lead Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the division, ensuring the highest quality patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist as a timekeeper, preparing employee schedules, and ordering supplies as directed by division/department leadership.
  • Function as a Radiologic Technologist and be assigned in the division schedules, adhering to the job description for the position.
  • Make division/department leadership aware of any incidents, problems, or emergencies that occur in the division.
  • Respond to radiologists and/or staff physicians regarding quality of patient care issues and relay information to division/department leadership as appropriate.
  • Assist with the training of new personnel and/or students assigned to the division.
  • Ensure adequate supplies are in the division and properly stored.
  • Perform clerical duties, including answering telephones, patient scheduling, and RIS functions as needed.
  • Support image management functions, such as follow-up on missing/unread cases, completing RIS functions, etc.
  • Maintain records, keep logs, and other documentation as needed.
  • Participate in meetings, educational programs, etc. as necessary.
  • Complete all necessary worksheets, patient records, and documentation, processing images and related functions as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiographer required.
  • Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
  • Must maintain a Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).
