Radiologic Technologist Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to lead our team in the Radiology-Orthopedics department at Henry Ford Hospital. As a Lead Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the division, ensuring the highest quality patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist as a timekeeper, preparing employee schedules, and ordering supplies as directed by division/department leadership.
- Function as a Radiologic Technologist and be assigned in the division schedules, adhering to the job description for the position.
- Make division/department leadership aware of any incidents, problems, or emergencies that occur in the division.
- Respond to radiologists and/or staff physicians regarding quality of patient care issues and relay information to division/department leadership as appropriate.
- Assist with the training of new personnel and/or students assigned to the division.
- Ensure adequate supplies are in the division and properly stored.
- Perform clerical duties, including answering telephones, patient scheduling, and RIS functions as needed.
- Support image management functions, such as follow-up on missing/unread cases, completing RIS functions, etc.
- Maintain records, keep logs, and other documentation as needed.
- Participate in meetings, educational programs, etc. as necessary.
- Complete all necessary worksheets, patient records, and documentation, processing images and related functions as needed.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiographer required.
- Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
- Must maintain a Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).
