Housekeeping Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Houseman to join our team at Carowinds. As a Houseman, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our public spaces, ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.

• Provide exceptional guest service and perform service recovery when needed, showcasing a warm and welcoming personality.
• Perform routine troubleshooting for in-room issues and accommodate guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Identify and address any safety hazards and cleanliness issues, adhering to brand standards and hotel policies.
• Maintain the cleanliness of lobby, meeting rooms, restrooms, fitness center, and all public spaces throughout the shift, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Clean windows and doors as needed, ensuring a sparkling appearance.
• Organize patio and pool deck furniture, set or remove cushions based on weather, and empty trash.
• Walk the parking lot and maintain clean and safe grounds, ensuring a pleasant experience for our guests.
• Assist with carpet cleaning and complete trash and linen runs for the Room Attendants.
• Stock and organize supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient operation.
• Assist with inventory control and adhere to Company uniform and attendance policies.
• Proudly represent the Carowinds brand and company, embodying our values and standards.

• Previous hotel experience, particularly in housekeeping or janitorial roles, is preferred.
• Previous Marriott experience is a plus.
• Excellent people skills and a spirit to serve are essential.
• Able to work on your feet for an 8-hour shift and perform physical and repetitious tasks, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and gripping.
• Able to work morning and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays, indoors and outdoors.
• Good verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are required.
• Independent problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency are necessary.
• Able to handle guest requests and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Able to remain calm during emotionally charged situations.
• Able to pass a mandatory or random drug test, as per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Able to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
