We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our team at HR Recruiting Services.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for operating radiographic/x-ray equipment and making high-quality images of patients in a cardiac cath lab setting. They will work closely with physicians, registered nurses, and cardiovascular technicians to ensure seamless procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure accurate and safe operation of x-ray equipment during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Position patients correctly for optimal imaging results using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Process images accurately, labeling them with relevant information for interpretation.
- Verify that all procedures are properly transmitted and archived on a daily basis.
- Function as a scrub person and procedure table panner during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Act as a monitor person during procedures, providing critical support to the healthcare team.
- Participate in emergency and add-on procedures, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety and sterile techniques, adhering to established guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
- Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Proven experience in a cardiac cath lab environment, with expertise in operating x-ray equipment.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
