Job Summary

The Compassus organization is seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Traveling Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various locations, promoting the Compassus philosophy, and upholding the company's values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned locations to provide patient care, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine and emergency assessments, educate patients and caregivers, and coordinate care to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure positive working relationships.
  • Supervise the care provided by Hospice and Home Health Licensed Practical Nurses and Hospice and Home Health Aides.

Requirements

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in state(s) of employment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing practice or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Home Health, hospice, oncology, and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
