Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Greenfield Source. As a key member of our Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure division, you will be responsible for developing embedded firmware for our CPDI power conversion products and technology development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to develop, test, and release embedded firmware for CPDI product lines and technology development projects.
  • Design and develop product features, write and maintain functional specifications, and analyze power system architecture and requirements.
  • Develop firmware that meets coding standards and product design requirements, document and formally release embedded software following company procedures.
  • Develop test plans, monitor test results, and lead firmware and functional design reviews at various product development stages.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest embedded software strategies, processes, and tools, and apply knowledge to power electronic applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or related Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in embedded firmware development, or 1 year with a Master's degree.
  • Experience in design of complex state machines and closed loop controls, hardware-in-loop systems, and model-based state machine design.
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux, modern software development processes, and version control repository hosting services.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot analog and digital control circuitry, work in a lab environment with high voltage, and read schematics and interpret electronic system behavior.
