Job Summary:
The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Radiology team. As a Radiology Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures, monitor vital signs, and closely monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters and pacemaker monitoring during MRI scans.
- Care for patients receiving nuclear medicine treatment, manage labs, medications, and pre and post-intervention phone calls.
- Assess and manage patients transported from inpatient settings, patients in emergency situations, pediatric patients, and others needing sedation with assistance from the anesthesiologist.
- Develop and implement patient care policies, design flowsheets, patient instruction sheets, and develop protocols and care plans.
- Perform routine tasks such as starting or checking peripheral IVs, assessing/de-accessing infusaports, suctioning patients, inserting in-dwelling catheters, and assisting patients with their personal needs.
Requirements:
- Greater than one year of experience as an RN is required.
- Previous experience in Radiology is preferred.
Benefits:
- $10K RN Sign-on Bonus for full-time (pro-rated for part-time)
