Role Overview
As a Registered Cardiac Catheterization Technician, you will play a crucial role in cardiac procedures, functioning as both a Cardiovascular Technician and a Hemodynamic Recorder. Your expertise will be vital in assisting cardiologists during catheterization procedures.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in various cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with the Cath Lab team to ensure optimal equipment setup and data collection.
- Identify cardiac structures and monitor hemodynamic parameters accurately.
- Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following qualifications:
- Two years of full-time experience in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
- An Associate Degree in a relevant field with one year of experience.
- A Baccalaureate degree in a related discipline with six months of experience.
- Graduation from an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program.
Additional Competencies
Specific competencies required include:
- Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization and Peripheral Angiography.
- Proficiency in various cardiac interventions and device management.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
