We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Avera Medical Group Neurosurgery Sioux Falls. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 per hour, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Perform selected medical assistant and clerical duties to assist in care for clinic patients.
  • Work collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possess the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma preferred.
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
  • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association with one year of experience.
