Computer Science Instructor Position at Central Wyoming College

Central Wyoming College is seeking a highly qualified Computer Science Instructor to join our team at our Riverton campus. As a Computer Science Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in a comprehensive community college atmosphere.

Job Summary

This is a part-time adjunct faculty position that will involve teaching Computer Science courses, as well as participating in departmental and institutional activities. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, as well as experience in teaching and mentoring students. Key Responsibilities
  1. Teaching and Mentoring: Prepare and deliver course content, evaluate student performance, and maintain up-to-date records of student progress.
  2. Departmental Responsibilities: Attend departmental meetings, participate in workshops and seminars, and maintain open and positive communication with colleagues.
  3. Institutional Responsibilities: Adhere to institutional philosophy, policies, and procedures, and serve as a resource person to the college and community.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience: Successful teaching experience, preferably at the community college level.
Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to use personal computer software, preferably Microsoft and Google applications, and relate to a broad range of students.
  • Commitment to Non-Traditional Approaches: Willingness to explore innovative approaches to education in a comprehensive community college atmosphere.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $775 per load hour, prorated based on student enrollment per course. This is a part-time position, and benefits are available on a pro-rated basis to employees who work an average of 35 hours per week over the course of a year.
