Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Process prescriptions, including entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, and ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, including greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in training and development programs to maintain knowledge and skills in pharmacy operations and customer service.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
