Agriculture and Natural Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Specialist in Chatham County. As a key member of our extension team, you will be responsible for providing educational programming and outreach services to the community, focusing on production agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs for farmers, gardeners, and other stakeholders in Chatham County.
- Collaborate with local government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions.
- Provide technical assistance and support to farmers and gardeners on best management practices and sustainable agriculture methods.
- Conduct research and gather data to inform program development and evaluation.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups to promote extension services and programs.
- Masters degree in Agriculture or related field.
- Experience in extension education, community development, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
