Providence, Rhode Island, United States Meeting Street Full time

Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential? Meeting Street is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Early Intervention.

We are a special place of learning, where children of all abilities have the opportunities to grow and thrive. Our brand-new Early Childhood Center is nearing completion, and we are excited to welcome a new Speech Language Pathologist to our team.

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Meeting Street, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of families, providing individualized home-based and virtual services to support the development of children ages 0-3. You will assess the functional capabilities of children, provide coaching and support to caregivers, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

We offer a competitive salary, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and more. You will also have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who share your passion for helping children succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the functional capabilities of children ages 0-3 relative to their age-appropriate milestones for potential developmental delays or developmental risk factors.

  • Collaborate with the family to develop goals to address the child's development that fit into their daily routines and play.
  • Teach and coach caregivers to integrate strategies into the family's daily routines to aid in the child meeting major developmental milestones.
  • Continuously assess the progress of your clients and collaboratively adjust the plan as needed.
  • Consult and partner with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including Service Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Nurses, Nutritionists, and Social Workers.
  • Ensure that all events and documentation are completed within the program's required timelines.

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in Rhode Island.
