Job Summary
KIPP Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping our students develop the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Create occupational therapy session plans that meet the unique needs of our students
- Report on quarterly progress for students with IEPs, providing valuable insights to inform instruction
- Take data during occupational therapy sessions to track student progress and identify areas for improvement
- Run individual and small-group occupational therapy sessions, adapting your approach to meet the needs of each student
- Support students in developing self-care skills, working closely with them to set and achieve goals
- Consult with teachers and other staff members to provide support and guidance in the general and special education setting
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists to assist with evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans
Requirements and Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Google Suite
- Passion for working with students and commitment to the KIPP Massachusetts mission
