About the Role

The Executive Director - Central PA will be responsible for leading the Heidelberg Materials business in Central PA, providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure safe production, efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company's strategic plan to promote growth of revenue, profitability, personnel, and operational footprint.
  • Oversee operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Group guidelines.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the supported businesses.
  • Identify acquisition and merger opportunities and provide project management of internal and external resources to grow the organization's footprint.
  • Implement and improve company operational procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Evaluate performance of management staff for compliance with established policies and objectives.
  • Represent the company at state level legislative sessions, committee meetings, and at formal functions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • At least 10-15 years of construction industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of P&L accountability.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Aggregates, Ready Mix, and Asphalt business, customers, competitors, products, and manufacturing processes.
  • Manufacturing and commercial experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good financial acumen.
  • Experience with digitalization and sustainability practices within the construction materials industry.
  • Strong track record of accomplishments within the areas of safety & health, employee development, change management, and team leadership.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or additional post graduate education, training, or certifications.
  • Well networked within the industry including trade associations.
  • Multi-site experience.
