We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Technician to join our ICU team at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. As a member of our high-acuity unit, you will provide quality nursing care to patients, implement specific procedures, and coordinate patient care within the department and with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist RNs and physicians with special procedures, such as DMR care, emptying drains, and suctioning chest tubes
  • Set up sterile fields and assist with line placements and chest tube insertions
  • Perform phlebotomy, including drawing blood from arterial lines as delegated
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, toileting, positioning, and nourishment
  • Discontinue arterial lines, sheaths, Foley catheters, and IVs
  • Insert peripheral IVs and Foley catheters
  • Maintain stock rooms and units with supplies
