Position Overview:
TKDA is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic team of engineering and design professionals. This role requires a deep understanding of both highway and railroad bridge design, as well as experience in managing complex transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will:
1. Design and analyze various bridge types, including conventional grade separations and intricate highway interchanges.
2. Work with multiple construction materials such as pre-stressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel plate girders.
3. Oversee the design of retaining walls, drainage systems, and sign structures.
4. Engage in projects across the nation, gaining exposure to both traditional and innovative project delivery methods.

Mentorship and Leadership:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and guiding them through design processes. You will also review and refine the work of your peers, ensuring adherence to TKDA's quality assurance and quality control standards.

Business Development:
Collaborating closely with senior management, you will play a vital role in identifying new business opportunities and representing TKDA at industry events. Your contributions will help shape the future of our bridge engineering services.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design.
- Professional Engineer registration in Minnesota.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience, particularly with structural elements like bridge superstructures and substructures.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO, DOT, and AREMA standards.
- Proven experience leading structural tasks on multi-disciplinary projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Registration as a Structural Engineer in states such as Illinois, California, Oregon, or Washington.
- Experience with Design-Build projects and familiarity with contractor interactions.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microstation and structural analysis software is essential. You should also be comfortable with limited travel for project consultations and meetings.
