Senior Microservices Consultant

Infosys is seeking a highly skilled Senior Microservices Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable, cloud-native applications using Vert.x/Reactive programming and Spring Boot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Apply technical expertise across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-level design artifacts and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain complex Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Vert.x/Reactive programming.
  • Design and implement scalable, cloud-native architectures using cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty can be considered in lieu of education.
  • At least 4 years of relevant Information Technology experience.
  • U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. Sponsorship is not available at this time.
  • Location for this position is Phoenix, AZ. Travel to project/client locations may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in Java 1.8+, Vert.x/Spring Boot Microservices, Spring Boot, Restful Services (JAX-RS), REST and SOAP API, Java Testing Frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, PowerMockito), Git, Jenkins, Understanding of Cloud infrastructure, JPA/JDBI or Mybatis, Openshift, ORM Framework, Schedulers, DevOps, Splunk, Appdynamics/Grafana.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Design and architecture of JEE applications.
  • At least 6 years of experience developing enterprise-grade, highly scalable Java-based applications.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Agile, including knowledge of ceremonies.
  • At least 6 years of experience in front-end development frameworks, especially React.
  • At least 6 years of experience with MVC frameworks, Spring 4.x/5.x, and Design Patterns.
  • Experience and knowledge of at least one of the following Document-based DBs - Cassandra, Couchbase, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Good knowledge of continuous integration tools, such as GIT, Jenkins, XLR, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Automation Tools, such as Selenium, Cucumber, etc.
  • Non-relational database experience, such as Couchbase or MongoDB.
  • Relational database experience in db2/PostgreSQL.
  • At least 1 year of experience in GoLang is preferred.
  • Additionally, knowledge of the following technologies would be an advantage:
  • GraphQl, gRPC, Docker Framework, SonarQube, Kafka, Loadrunner, Jira, Confluence, Cucumber, Kubernetes (or similar technology), ELK Integration (Elasticsearch, Logstash & Kibana).
  • Strong knowledge of Camel Integration framework, with 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyze Java code.
