Agricultural Underwriting Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated Agricultural Underwriting Assistant to join our team at QBE Insurance Group Limited. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and growth of our crop insurance business.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agricultural underwriting, working closely with our experienced underwriters and industry experts. You will be responsible for assisting with daily processes, processing applications, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist underwriters with daily processes and tasks
  • Process applications, reports, and other documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to develop and implement new strategies and initiatives
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our crop insurance business

Qualifications:

  • Completion of High School Diploma/GED
  • Full-time current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Insurance, Risk Management, or Agriculture
  • Must be returning to college/university upon completion of internship
  • Course work or relevant experience with demonstrated achievements

Salary:

The base pay offered will vary depending on education, experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. Hourly Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.50; Dependent upon year in school.
