Job Summary:

A Geriatric Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support within a healthcare setting. Key responsibilities include assisting physicians with patient services, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring the proper organization of medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient care duties as assigned by physicians/providers.
  • Room patients, conduct clerical tasks, maintain environmental cleanliness, and manage organizational tasks.
  • Schedule appointments, abstract patient records into EPIC, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Assist with chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; certification/registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year private practice medical assistant experience preferred in primary care or specialist offices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, customer service, and teamwork skills required.
  • CPR certification and EMR experience preferred.
