Oncology and Hematology Specialist

Job Overview:

Allina Health Cancer Institute is in search of a dedicated and board-certified/board-eligible medical oncologist/hematologist to enhance our expanding practice.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time role encompassing both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
  • Collaboration with a team of 18 oncologists.
  • Integration with radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, thoracic surgeons, urologic surgeons, and advanced practice providers.
  • Support from a robust clinical nursing team and nurse navigation.
  • Participation in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards.
  • Work in modern facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
  • Utilization of Epic, a leading electronic health record (EHR) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage collaboratively with patients to enhance their health outcomes.
  • Practice with a thoughtful approach, respecting cultural diversity and individual autonomy.
  • Actively contribute to a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive case management.
  • Employ quality improvement methodologies to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.
  • Participate in peer review and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent foreign medical training is required.
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Hematology/Oncology fellowship program is essential.
  • Board eligibility or certification with ABMS or AOA is mandatory.
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Capability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Fulfillment of criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges.
  • BLS certification is required within 180 days of employment.
