Job SummaryAs a Surgical Technologist Level II, you will play a critical role in providing patient care in the surgical suite while maintaining a safe work environment. You will be responsible for assisting in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments, preparing patients for surgery, and ensuring the proper disposition of specimens.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery, including preparing the operating room and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist in the maintenance of aseptic technique and the sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Monitor and document sterilization activities for completion.
- Participate in educational opportunities to increase competency and meet personal needs and goals.
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
- 2 years of operating room experience in surgical technologist role required.
- Current certification preferred.
