We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Homewood Suites Albany. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional maintenance and repair services to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property maintenance, hands-on repairs, and preventative maintenance. You will be expected to work effectively in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills. Additionally, you must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. As a full-time employee, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical and dental insurance, and a 401K retirement program with company contribution.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair work on hotel rooms, equipment, and facilities.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and ensure the security of inventory.
  • Replenish supplies and materials as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Complete work orders and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma with technical or vocational schooling is preferred.
  • Hotel experience is a plus, but not required.
  • General knowledge of technical fields, such as carpentry, painting, and electrical, is expected.
  • Ability to drive a pick-up truck for plowing snow.
  • Lifting at least 40 pounds is required.
