Job Summary:
Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Pleasanton, TX. As an SLPA, you will work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to execute treatment plans and interventions aimed at addressing speech, language, and communication goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to develop and implement treatment plans and interventions.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to acquire pertinent information about students' speech and language capabilities.
- Administer individual or group therapy sessions to students under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Implement diverse therapeutic techniques and exercises to enhance speech production, articulation, language comprehension, and expressive language skills.
- Assist students in developing and refining social communication skills.
- Provide education and support to students and their families on strategies and techniques to enhance communication beyond therapy sessions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) from a recognized certifying organization.
- Previous experience working with individuals with communication disorders is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
