Maintenance Specialist

Koinonia Family Services is seeking a part-time Maintenance Specialist to work at its Corporate Office in California. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance and repair, with skills in plumbing, painting, hardware installation, and electrical work.
The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing upkeep and maintenance of several agency-owned local buildings, including minor facility upkeep and repair, replacing fluorescent light bulbs, and performing routine maintenance inside the building.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for arranging for routine service to be conducted on HVAC units, water filter units, and other equipment, as well as coordinating the process to obtain bids for specialized work projects.
Additionally, the Maintenance Specialist will perform outside grounds maintenance as needed, including irrigation repair, ensuring proper water drainage, and spot cleaning the corporate office in between weekly cleanings.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience as a maintenance specialist/technician and/or handyman, with experience in HVAC, light carpentry, and appliance repair & troubleshooting. Tools and workshop will be provided by Koinonia.
The Maintenance Specialist will work a flexible schedule, ideally 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with negotiable pay based on overall qualifications and experience.
Requirements:
- Ability to safely move in and out of a variety of positions, including sitting, standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, and overhead reaching
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Capable of performing repetitive movements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs
Benefits:
